AI has revolutionized other major areas of our economy, but these opportunities have so far been untapped.
Orbital Materials develops groundbreaking new materials and chemical processes by bridging the worlds of AI and synthetic chemistry. We are hiring a full time Process Engineer to work onsite (3 days per week) in our newly built laboratory just outside Princeton, NJ.
About the Role
Your duties will include:
Develop gas separation processes using Aspen or similar software.
Create flow sheets and piping/instrumentation diagrams.
Collaborate with chemists and chemical engineers to integrate experimental data into process designs.
Work with our machine learning researchers to explore how AI can enhance chemical process design.
Qualities that we value include:
You have 4-5 years of industrial experience in process engineering, ideally with a focus on gas adsorption.
You hold a master's degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, or a related field.
Deep expertise in Aspen or similar software
Additional qualities that will make you stand out as a candidate:
An interest in machine learning and its application in process engineering is advantageous.
Programming experience, particularly in Python, is a plus.
